湯たんぽの語源について2

「漢語大詞典」について書いたついでに。
　今とても調べたい言葉があって、それは湯たんぽの語源についてで書いた、「湯婆子」という言葉です。私の予想ではこの言葉のもともとの意味は、「お湯売りおばさん」のはずなのですが、そういったことも含めてこの言葉の背景について調べたいと思っています。というのは、この間読んだ朝刊で、『千と千尋の神隠し』に出てきた「ゆばーば」という怪しげな老人は、漢字にすると「湯婆婆」であることを知ったからです。
　おそらく湯たんぽの語原である「湯婆子」と「湯婆婆」はなんの関係もないと思いますが、私としては気になるので、時間ができたらぜひ調べてみたいです。「驚くべき事実」が見つかるかもしれません（＾＾；
